Some of the general dentistry services we provide include the following:
Treatment for Gum Disease
If you have bridgework, dental implants, or other restorative treatments, it is even more crucial to practice good oral hygiene to fight back against gum disease. We offer many effective treatments at our practice to help break the cycle of gum disease. If you are experiencing the signs of gingivitis or periodontitis such as redness, bleeding, and inflammation/swelling of the gum tissue or are suffering from pain or sensitivity in your teeth, please request an appointment so that we can help get your oral health back on track.
Tooth Decay & Cavity Treatment
The team at Winterholler Dental Implants & Cosmetic Dentistry is here to help you address tooth decay and the development of cavities so that the health and beauty of your smile are protected. Tooth decay can be addressed through treatment at our office with fillings that will either be an amalgam filling (metal filling), made of a combination of metals, or a composite resin filling (white filling), made of a type of plastic that matches your teeth.
Sealants
Food and bacteria can get trapped in the grooves and pits of the molars, making them susceptible to decay. Sealants are a thin coating of tooth-colored resin that covers the top surface of the molars to offer them long-term protection. The process of applying the sealant to the molars is quick and completely painless. Once the process is complete, the surface of your tooth will feel the same as before the treatment.
Same-Day Custom Crowns
When a tooth is severely damaged or decayed, a crown is often recommended to restore both your oral function and the appearance of your smile. Dental crowns are essentially custom-made caps that permanently cover and protect a damaged tooth. At our practice, we offer CEREC single-visit restorations—our on-site lab makes the process quick and easy so that you can have a quality, custom-made restoration for your tooth without the wait or the need for a temporary crown.
Root Canals
A root canal is a common procedure that can save a tooth that would otherwise require extraction. When a dental infection spreads to the pulp inside of the tooth, a root canal procedure will be performed to clean out the infection and prevent the tooth from being extracted. Sometimes, there are no symptoms when a tooth requires a root canal, but if you are experiencing tooth pain or tenderness in the oral cavity around the teeth, or discoloration in a tooth, please request an appointment so that we can repair your tooth and keep your smile intact. We make sure our patients are as comfortable as possible during their Root canal treatment at our practice.
Dental Cleanings & Exams
During your exam, any existing or potential problems will be identified so that they can be treated early to protect your smile. Next, you will receive a thorough professional cleaning to remove difficult to reach deposits and prevent them from causing more serious problems in the future. We offer the most advanced techniques at our practice so that you will get the most from your time in the chair with us. Our goal is to help you keep your smile healthy and beautiful for years to come.
