Keeping You Safe
Patient Screenings, Face Masks, New Improved Air Purifiers, Higher-Grade Disinfectants & More!
We are happy to announce that we are open! We have missed our happy smiling patients! We have been very busy with updates in this Post Coronavirus world!
The health and safety of our patients and staff is of utmost priority to us. We want you to know that we follow all CDC and ADA Guidelines and will continue to do so.
First Thing’s First
Aerosols! Flying all around! This may have been the norm prior to the pandemic, but not anymore. At Winterholler Dentistry, we have invested in multiple ways to minimize the spread of aerosols. We have added an Oral Aerosol Vacuum and Air Purification System. Built and manufactured in Switzerland, this system will keep the air quality in our office at a premium. How does it work? It cleans the air in a highly efficient and innovative three-stage process that captures and removes harmful molecular air pollutants and ultra-fine airborne particles, including volatile organic compounds, bacteria, virus, mold, fungi and odors, as well as mercury aerosol and vapor.
We also have a unit that will filter air right next to you as we work. Imagine the little suction that the assistant uses to catch all the water and saliva, 20 times bigger, positioned very close to your mouth. It is the perfect way to catch all that debris as it flies out of your mouth so that it doesn’t get dispelled throughout the room. It uses an eHEPA filtration system that utilizes UV light and electrostatic to capture and kill particles of .01 microns (as shown by studies from NASA). (Click on image to learn more about how the particles protect from viruses.)
For Comparison
The coronavirus is approximately 0.125 microns in size. We also installed several UV HEPA air purifiers throughout our office outside of the actual operatories, which turn over the air up to 12 times per HOUR!
Surface Disinfectants
We have updated our surface cleaning disinfectants to target all those pesky bug that we had to in the past AND kills Coronavirus as well. This new system will keep us all clean, safe and virus free. Multiple studies were done on viruses similar to the Coronavirus and we are confident that these products will provide a safe environment here at the dental office.
Other Changes
You may notice a few other changes as well. Upon arrival, we will be asking you to stay in your car until we are ready for your appointment. We will give you a call or text when we are ready for you to come in! No more waiting in a room full of other folks for now.
We will also be asking you a few screening questions and take your temperature. And finally, we may be moving a little slower as we get up and going again. We have enjoyed a little more time with each of our patients during this pandemic and for the next few weeks.
Happy and Healthy
Keeping our team healthy and happy in the field of dentistry is another important priority. You may see a bit less of our smiling faces, however, we have taken extra measures to stay protected for you and us.
This includes each clinical team member wearing a KN95 Level 3 Mask reinforced for tight fit with a custom-fitted, 3D-printed frame—as well as eye protection, a face shield, hair caps and gowns. Times are changing, and we believe it is time for all dental personnel to take serious measures to step up their use of proper personal protection equipment.
Final Words
Finally, a few words for those who are stressed or anxious about not having the same dental benefits as before. Our practice offers several ways to help patients get the care they want and deserve by offering CareCredit and financing options. We are always here to help you make the best choice in the safest environment. Dentistry has a lot to offer—more than ever before—and we continue to remain passionate and fulfilled about what we do.
We look forward to seeing you all soon,
— Drs. Chris and Patrice Winterholler

We are still monitoring all patients who come into the office with the following questions:
1). Have you or anyone in your household been ill or had a fever in the past 14 days? Have you been in close proximity to anyone who has been ill or had a fever in the past 14 days?
2). Have you traveled outside of the country in the past 14 days?
3). We will be taking the temperature of all patients who come into the office until further notice.
We require all of our team members to stay home when they are feeling sick, have a fever or a cough. (We ask our own team the same screening questions and fever screening as well).
